During Lainee's senior portrait session, she let me experiment with her by getting some shots with her throwing confetti in the air!
We've all seen it done, but not so many of us are brave enough to try it!
If you are going to want to brave these shots for yourself, I have some tips to keep in mind:
-paper confetti flies easier
-shoot with a background that is least distracting
-fast shudder speed, maybe even 1/1600 sec (seems obvious)
-shoot with wider aperture
-set your camera into S or TV mode, to prevent camera shake
-shoot further away, crop later
-stand back, don't hurt your lens
-play with focus! it doesn't have to be on the confetti
-it's terribly messy afterwards
